What are the characteristics and functions of non-woven fabrics

(1) PP non-woven fabric

It is also called polypropylene Nonwoven Interlining or spunbonded non-woven fabric. It is characterized by being impermeable and air-permeable above 80g. When the square gram is thin, the main raw material is polypropylene. The shelf life is relatively short when exposed to light and water. Naturally decomposes, so it is very environmentally friendly. According to its application field, it can also be processed into special functions such as waterproof, flame retardant and antibacterial. The most common application areas are the production of supermarket shopping bags, sofas, handbags and printed packaging materials.

(2) Spunlace non-woven fabric

The so-called spunlace refers to the production method. The process is to spray a high-pressure fine water stream onto the fiber web, so that the fibers are entangled with each other, so that the fiber web can be consolidated into a cloth. Its main raw materials are viscose, polyester and wood pulp. The more viscose ingredients, the more expensive in general. Its main characteristics are soft, delicate, hydrophilic, and feel very comfortable. The main areas of application are fabrics for home textiles, cloths for medical and sanitary use, and wipes for valuables. For example, the most common disposable cosmetic wipes in supermarkets are its typical products.

(3) Thermally bonded non-woven fabric

Strictly speaking, it can be called this only if it has been hot rolled or hot air treated. The heat-sealing non-woven fabric here refers specifically to the hot-air non-woven fabric, most of which are short fibers, and low-melting-point fibers are uniformly mixed together and dried by hot air, such as ES fiber, 4080, etc. The main application areas are clothing, Home textiles, shoes and hats and automotive interior materials, the most common are carpets.

(4) Air-laid non-woven fabrics are also called dry-laid non-woven fabrics.

It uses air-laid technology to open the wood pulp fiberboard into a single fiber state, and then use the air-flow method to agglomerate the fibers on the web curtain, and then reinforce the fiber web into a cloth. Needle-punched non-woven fabric is one of them. There are many types of non-woven fabrics of this kind of technology. Such as pearl cotton, blankets, etc., and its application fields include home textiles, clothing, disposable carpets, ironing boards, car insulation cotton, sofa cotton, cloth wipes and so on.

(5) Meltblown non-woven fabric

Meltblown non-woven fabrics are similar to women's toilet paper.Meltblown non-woven fabric performance characteristics: 1. Comfortable, soft and good hand feel, can directly touch the skin; 2. Ventilation and ventilation, good uniformity; 3. Environmental protection and sanitation.Because of the above-mentioned functions, meltblown non-woven fabrics are widely used in filtration and sanitary materials, especially masks. The meltblown non-woven fabric feels soft like paper or non-paper.
