Needle-punched felt must be selected for a defined application. Fibre composition alone does not establish filtration efficiency, chemical compatibility, working temperature, service life or product safety.
A filtration assessment should identify the medium, contaminants, particle size, operating temperature, chemical exposure, flow and pressure conditions, equipment design and applicable test requirements. Food-processing, pharmaceutical and other regulated applications require their own product-specific evidence.
UBL's published needle-punch felt range includes materials for garment construction, such as collar and padding applications. Those garment specifications do not establish suitability for industrial, food-processing or pharmaceutical filtration. Supply capability and suitability for any different application must be confirmed for an identified product before an order is agreed.
