Garment Interlining and Interfacing by Construction

Choose garment interlining by the support, shape and handfeel required in the finished garment. Interlining and interfacing are often used for garment support materials; specify the construction, composition, coating and intended application when comparing products.

• Woven fusible interlining: compare plain and twill constructions and the relevant PA double-dot models.
• Tricot Series 4 and Knitting Series 1: review each model's base construction, composition, weight and coating separately.
• Nonwoven interlining and interfacing: compare nylon, polyester and blended ranges.
• Hair canvas interlining: review model composition, weight and handfeel for tailored garment structure.
• Specialty interlining and tailoring felt: confirm the identified product and application requirements.

Fusible or Sew-In: Confirm the Selected Model

Fusible interfacing uses an adhesive coating; sew-in support is attached by stitching. Confirm the attachment method and current specification for the actual model. For fusible products, trial the shell fabric and interlining on the intended equipment and assess appearance, adhesion, dimensional change and the intended care process.
